it doesn't matter, it's so much easier to work on Model window because you have so much space to work on. Layout is more like for Blueprints, for example if you have your drawing done, you can copy your model several times and put them in viewports in

autoCAD was the old product I used at my school, then they put me on solidworks (autoCAD sucks so much fucking ass)
